As a child, she wanted to become a seamstress when she grew up. Today, she dreams of growing her career as a Senior Full Stack Developer — a new measure of her talent. Here is Andreea's story, a graduate of the Web Development – JavaScript, HTML, CSS Course program, now employed in IT.
From call center operator to IT web developer
1. Why IT?
I used to work as a call center operator. After about a year, I decided to head toward a career in IT, because it's a field that offers many opportunities for employment and professional growth. Wanting to improve my knowledge in this field and to learn from people who really know the realities of the job market, I enrolled at the Informal School of IT.
2. If we were to take a few steps back in time: what did you want to become as a child, and why?
When I was little, I wanted to become a seamstress. My mother had that trade and taught me to make little clothes for dolls too.
3. What does starting a career in IT “taste” like now?
I'm proud of the choice I made. Every day I learn new things. I work on projects where I run into different challenges, but they help me constantly push past my own limits.
4. What was the job interview like?
The job interview wasn't difficult at all. My advice for you, current or future student of the Informal School of IT, is to prepare very well for what you want to achieve in your career and to show your passion when you get to the job interview. That will help you avoid nerves or hesitation.

5. Why Web Development?
I was drawn from the very start to the idea of developing applications with various features on my own. And I still fondly remember the workshops for the final project at the Informal School of IT, where I got hands-on practice building applications.
6. My biggest fear was ….
Not being able to find a job because of lack of experience.
